Substitute Teacher Service is hiring Summer Help IT Technicians for the Cumberland Valley School District "CVSD".

 

Position Summary
IT Technicians for temporary departmental assistance. These positions have up to 40 hours a week of work available (up to 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday) and will run from 6/10/23 through 8/18/23. Typical hours will be 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, but there is some flexibility. The successful candidates will assist in technology preparation for the upcoming school year.  A College/Technical School degree is helpful, but not required.  Previous experience as a specialist in a computer network environment, or previous CVSD summer technical help, is not required, but is highly sought after.

The IT sub pay rate starting June 9, 2023 through June 30, 2023 should be $17.80/hr. Then starting July 1, 2023 through August 13, 2023 the IT sub pay rate should be $18.05.

 

Qualifications and Required Documents 

  • High school diploma or higher education
  • A Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) that is clean and less than 5 years old **
  • A Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) that is clean and less than 5 years old **
  • A FBI Criminal History Record that is clean and less than 5 years old **

  • Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than 3 months
  • 3 professional references (contact information) and/or letters

Essential Functions
Clerical and non-educational support staff are responsible for providing essential back up services for the whole school ranging from day to day office support and other school business including food services in the cafeteria.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position may vary in nature due to changes in schedule, student or district need, and include but are not limited to:

 

• Assist in technology preparation for upcoming school year
• Operate a variety of technology equipment including but not limited to; computers, fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, videoconferencing and telephone systems, etc.

 

• Adhere to all procedures, guidelines, and policies followed by regular teachers in the school as well as STS guidelines within the handbook.
• Ensure a sustainable relationship with pupils and school personnel by communicating in a confidential, polite and refined manner.
